Yorkshire Wolds Cottage is located at Holme-on-the-Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire, roughly 8 miles north of Beverley and 12 miles west of the coast. The best way to reach us is by email, though you're welcome to telephone if you prefer to speak directly.

Finding the Cottage

Holme-on-the-Wolds is on the B1248, the main road between Beverley and Driffield. From the A164 north of Beverley, take the B1248 towards Driffield. The village is approximately 5 miles along this road.

From the south and west, the M62 connects to the A63 into Hull, from where the A164 runs north to Beverley. From the north, the A166 from York to Driffield passes within a few miles of the village.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Beverley, on the Hull to Scarborough line. Trains run regularly from Hull, which is connected to the national network via Doncaster and York. A taxi from Beverley station to the cottage takes about 15 minutes.

By Air

The nearest airports are Humberside Airport (approximately 25 miles south) and Leeds Bradford Airport (approximately 60 miles west). Manchester and East Midlands airports are also within reasonable driving distance.

Booking Information

Bookings run Saturday to Saturday during the main season (April to October). Short breaks of three nights or more are available outside peak periods and when gaps appear in the calendar.

A deposit of 25% secures your booking. The balance is due six weeks before arrival. We accept bank transfer and cheque.

Cancellations made more than six weeks before arrival receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within six weeks are non-refundable unless we're able to relet the dates.

Before You Arrive

Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you full details including directions, key collection arrangements, and information about the local area. If you have specific requirements — an early or late arrival, questions about bringing a dog, or anything else — just mention it when you book and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Bed linen, towels, and heating are included in the price. You don't need to bring anything beyond your personal belongings and food. A welcome pack of basics (milk, tea, coffee, bread) will be waiting when you arrive.
